Elevator Pitch No. 1

Assignment 10A - Elevator Pitch No. 1

My solution to the wait time for checks at restaurants is an app called EasyPay. This is my elevator pitch to show you how this app would work and to put you in the mindset of using it.

Think of a scenario where you are sitting in a restaurant, you have finished your meal and have somewhere to be; you promised you would pick up your friend and go to see a musician for example. Now, you've finished eating and you're just waiting for your check. The restaurant is rather busy tonight and you can't find your server. Finally, your server comes and then takes your card, only to disappear for another 10 minutes before returning for your signature. Now, you're late picking up your friend, you are in a bad mood, and you left your server in a bad mood, with a bad tip. Now this is a bad case scenario, but you get the picture.

Now imagine you had a solution; EasyPay. You could've finished your meal, got your phone out, put in the order number, and paid instantly. Then you left on time and arrived to get your friend. Your server is also left with one less thing to worry about in the busy restaurant, and you have saved time.

  1. I would hate to miss my yoga class due to being delayed by a check... I NEED EASYPAY. Great pitch. I easily understood how this idea worked and how it benefited all of its users. There was some tag lines that stuck out to me and i believe you could use them further in branding "you just have to pay, then and there - fast and simple".

  2. Great presentation! Very clear and concise. You presented the problem and then presented the solution. You were in control and poise the whole time. Easypay is something that I believe could revolutionize the restaurant industry. This could potentially even be taken to other industries as well. Great idea and great presentation. I would use this app and I would tell my friends to use this app as well.

  3. Great Pitch!!, it really contributed to how well your idea will play out if it was implemented in the real market. I believe you effectively conveyed your point and really made it really easy and interesting to watch. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if you receive a message from someone who is willing to invest in your plan.

  4. Fantastic pitch. I think you have a really solid idea that is applicable to a lot of people and restaurants. It is also fairly easy to develop since it just requires an app and an order number system. I think this idea would really improve a big flaw restaurant business.

  5. Your idea is great and I really can't think of anyone who would ever be unaffected by this change. Unless a person actually visits restaurants a total of 0 times in their entire life they would be benefited by using this concept. And with it coming to a smart phone it would be incredibly beneficial where the terrible iPads are still a massive upgrade.
